How to pick the right strain type for the vibe you want.

The three strain types

Every strain on our menu is labeled Sativa, Hybrid, or Indica — the same color-coded badges you'll see on our product cards. These labels describe the typical character of a strain's effects. Individual results vary with dose, tolerance, and body chemistry, but they're the most useful starting point for picking your vibe. You'll see all three across our THCa flower and pre-rolls menus. Not sure what THCa is yet? Read the THCa 101 guide first — it covers what THCa is and why it behaves the way it does once heated.

Sativa

Daytime energy & focus

  • Typically uplifting and cerebral
  • Popular for creative or social sessions
  • Often chosen for daytime use
  • Can feel racy at higher doses for some
Hybrid

Balanced, versatile middle ground

  • Blends sativa and indica character
  • Great "anytime" default choice
  • Leans energizing or relaxing by strain
  • The safest bet if you're unsure
Indica

Evening chill & wind-down

  • Typically relaxing and body-heavy
  • Popular for unwinding at night
  • Often chosen before sleep
  • Can feel sedating at higher doses

How to choose

Match the time of day

Planning an active afternoon? Lean Sativa. Movie night? Lean Indica. Not sure? A Hybrid keeps your options open.

Start with a Hybrid

If it's your first order, a Hybrid is the most forgiving pick — balanced effects with fewer surprises. Pair it with our beginner dosing guide for a comfortable first session.

Labels are a guide, not a guarantee

The same strain can land differently for different people. Keep notes on what you try and how it felt — after a few orders you'll know exactly what works for you. Want to sample a few types at once? Check the bundle deals on our Specials page. Once you've chosen a strain, verify its potency and compliance with our lab results guide.
